A Lifelong Journey with Japanese

Language and Culture

My passion for Japanese began in 2003 and reached a milestone in 2007 when I won the prestigious Japanese Speech Contest across Russia and CIS countries—an experience that solidified my bond with the language and its cultural nuances.

In 2009, I transitioned to Tokyo, joining a Japanese corporation and later spending a decade across two major companies. This immersion gave me firsthand insight into Japan’s corporate values: teamwork, respect for hierarchy, and the delicate balance of tradition and modernity.

Now I’m also a proud mother of two trilingual children, born and raised in Japan, and I actively support their multilingual education—a testament to the interplay of language and identity. Teaching Japanese is a joy, and I firmly believe language fluency thrives only when rooted in cultural understanding. Whether through corporate work, parenting, or mentorship, my story reflects a deep, evolving relationship with Japan.

I intimately understand the challenges and joys of mastering a language so distinct from one’s own, which makes my classes so different from the others.
